Hello, I'm Hesther!

Yuen Ching (Hesther) Ng (b. 1992) is a London-based Hong Kong photojournalist. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the University of the Arts London (UAL) in 2023.
Her work focuses on social issues, conflict, and underrepresented communities, shaped by her upbringing across different countries and extensive travel experience. Through her photography, she seeks to document the human impact of global events with accuracy, empathy, and a deeper understanding of context.
Hesther works as a freelance press photographer in London, with images regularly published by outlets including The Guardian, BBC, CNN, TIME, The Times, Forbes, Metro, Yahoo! News, and The Wall Street Journal.
Alongside her photography practice, she is also a qualified clinical pharmacist working in NHS hospitals in London and an interpreter.
